Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
The clients should always know that if they either let me buy the paint or if they want to purchase the paint that’s fine but they should know that I as a business owner and having a business account have a discount on paint . So if I get it or they can come with me to purchase they will be saving money on materials.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I always like to make my new customers happy. I always try to keep in touch and always touch base with them . And let them know the process from beginning to end so they can have a time frame and be able to plan accordingly around their schedule.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I’ve been in this business for about 19 yrs . I have taken my osha test , I have been a painter , apprentice, journeyman, Forman and now a owner I have learned a lot but now as a business man i am still learning everyday.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My dad was a painter most of his life. So imagine lol that’s how I got started. I was the kid that instead of going out to play during summer break I was looking for the most dirty jeans that I could find in my closet and packing a lunch so I could go work with my dad. I did not like it at first but I was 11-12 yrs old lol but I leaned and then knew that I would always have a way to feed my family!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with home owners, I have worked with contractors, I have worked with subcontractors, I have worked with realtors, I have worked with property management companies , I have worked with older couples , I have worked with a lot of woman especially because they are the ones that decide on what they want done for the house and are always best in choosing the best colors for interior and exterior paints and always the go to for the most part because husbands usually are working or like me always want our wife’s to make those decisions to make our family homes look beautiful.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One project that I am most fond of would be PERRYS BARN. Their was a family that owned a farm and rebuilt a brand new barn two stories classic barn going classic red with white trim and windows. It took me 5 days with two guys and a rented boom lyft. After we was done the customers invited me and my crew to a dinner party it was a highlight of my summer!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would always recommend to look into the person you are going to hire. Go look at their social media make sure they are active in the work you are hiring them for . If they are then you will find a lot of work they are doing or you might find some bad things that will help you to not hire them and waist your precious time .

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Customers should always ask the time it will take so their can be a good schedule made. Also I would recommend to always ask for the total $ amount for the project so theirs no surprises at the end or problems.
